Hanamichi

Triptych

I'm fascinated suddenly by the triptych concept. A lot of the kabuki posters and other woodblock prints use triptych as a construct. There are three locations, basically: the woods, the rashomon, the court. Can we use this idea of triptych to differentiate between the locations that need to be omnipresent? Can lighting help differentiate?

Could we use something like this around the audience or as a back drop? maybe painted instead of lighted?

veiled, concealed, consumed

chaotic network of lines

Lovely, ephemeral, sweeping wind.

I love the vertical lines of the rain and the tension of the figures. I also like how the umbrella breaks the frame.

through the screen

concealment,screens, vertical lines and color.
